Daly City Station is an elevated platform station serving as a commuter terminus and transfer point for Peninsula and South Bay commuters traveling to and from San Francisco. The station is heavily impeded by the major roads that flank it and access is compromised by significant grade changes that occur along these roads. It has a small and heavily-used bus facility serving Muni buses, SamTrans, and several private and paratransit shuttles.
As part of a multidisciplinary team organized by Studio L’Image, Michael recently completed the design and production of a series of transit maps and wayfinding directionals for Daly City Station which improve the station’s visibility & identity and facilitate pedestrian and bicyclist safety and access.
